Kimberly Jarman Photography Vendor Questionnaire!

For the next few Saturdays we are going to be sharing a little bit about some of our favorite wedding vendors that we’ve been working with over the last few years. There are some AMAZING people out there and we have gotten some very fun and interesting interviews with some of our favorite people. I can’t wait to introduce you to them!!

We only felt it was right to interview ourselves as well because some of the questions we asked, were well… how do you put it… FREAKING HARD to answer!!! So the Kimberly Jarman Team put ourselves through the same hard interview process as we are asking our wonderful vendor friends and we are going to share them with you. We hope that this gives you a little more perspective as to who we are. I died laughing seeing everyones responses. We are a very interesting crew!   Here are the answers of all 3 of us, the lovely and amazing (we hope) Kimberly Jarman Photography Team!

How did you come up with your company name?

KJ- If you know me, you know that I am a complicated sort. I like to make things difficult and then decide it’s finally time to simplify. When I first started my company the name was Michelle Allen Photography. I thought I was all cute and clever because it was my middle name and my husbands middle name… then everyone started calling me Michelle and didn’t know why Kimberly was showing up to their events and not Michelle…. So, I made the switch and went simple. I’ve learned to like my name and I think everyone is thankful that i’m not confusing them anymore.

JP-  I’m going out on a limb here…but I think it’s the title of Kim’s favorite book.  Or movie?

KB – I just thought Kimberly had the most BEAUTIFUL name. I mean, Kimberly… it just rolls right off your tongue ;).

If your entire team were stuck on an island for a year, how would each of you respond?

KJ- I’m glad that the other girls wrote their stuff out first because it makes me laugh! I agree with Kim.. I think I would probably try to calm everyone, including me, down and put on my I mean business face and figure out a plan. I would schedule out who did what and what needs to happen. I would probably make Jenny and K.Bee get in line and stop looking for guys and frolicking.. it’s all about business!! Ha!

JP- I’d immediately make us some super cute indigenous outfits, then patrol the island for even cuter men.  (obviously)  I hope the other two would get on things like food…water…shelter…

KB- I’d respond by frolicking in the water and making sand angels on the beach. While apparently wearing matching garb and keeping my eye out for sustenance and shelter. Kim would probably be planning our itinerary and looking for great light, and Jenny, obviously, would be off hunting for hot native men.

What is your signature dance move?

KJ- I had to look up dance moves from the 80’s and 90’s because that’s probably the last time I really danced. I know, I’m old! Anyways I found some great ones that used to be signature moves.. and since I know you are all dying to see how great I looked I thought I would share a few of them on You Tube!!

1) Running Man – Oh yes, I can still do this and yes I probably still look as idiotic as we all did back in the 80’s. Why are the 80’s coming back… really? Watch this video… the 80’s should be banned.

2) Kid N Play – Lots of variation, but this was a favorite.

3) Ok, so i’m sad to say that my true signature move I don’t remember the name and after trying to find it on You Tube i’m wondering if I just made it up and thought I looked cool. So sorry.. you will all never really know! But it was probably a combination of MC Hammer moves that I did at a school talent show.. cuz I was cool like that! And yes, I did dance it for Jenny and she laughed very hard, but didn’t know what it was called either!

JP-  Ummm…they’re all signature.  You can’t teach this.

KB- It’s this leg kicking, hip swinging, two fingers sliding over my eyes, gyrating move. I’ve been perfecting it for years.

If your life became a biography, what would the title be?

KJ- Hmmm… I don’t know!

JP-  “I Swear This is Non-Fiction…No…Really.”

KB- It would probably be a combo of titles already taken: Confessions of a Domestically Challenged Half Insane Working Mom. Or something like that.

If you were a TV show character, who would you be?

KJ- Well since I don’t know who I would be, i’ll tell you who I wanted to be. Again, back in the 80’s there was a show called Time Stands Still – It had a girl who put her fingers together and time froze. I loved that and wanted to be her. Who wouldn’t want to freeze time!

JP-   Dexter.  Kidding!!!  I wish I would be Kramer, but I think I’m a cross between all 3 chicks on Friends.

KB- Uniqua. I have no clue.

What are your favorite kind of sneakers, and why?

KJ- Nike’s – I’ve tried others and can’t go back. I’m a sports chica and Nike’s are the only way to go.

JP-  Pumas.  Retro style.  One stripe.  Snap.

KB- (right now): retro 70’s ghettofabulous pumas from the thrift store. Green and gold. So ugly they’re cute.

In Vegas, you’re most likely to be the one…..?

KJ- Sleeping. Sadly yes, I’m the one who goes to Vegas with high hopes of partying through the night and by 11 or 12 i’m done. I leave the party and go to bed. Happens every time! (Kim.. we both are boring.. that’s why Jenny’s here to help spice things up!! Ha!!)

JP-   That is dressed in an outfit you can ONLY get away with in Vegas.  Silver spangly bikini top and black satin shorts?  Yes please.

KB- I’d probably be the one most excited about going home? Me and Vegas are like Zoolander and coal mining. ((weak high-pitched cough, cough)). Jenny, stop making me sound boring!

If you were to win the lottery, what would your charity of choice be and why?

KJ- Gosh that’s hard. I have a lot of charities that I would probably give to. I think i’d give a little bit to a lot of different places that are dear to my heart. National MS Society, Thirst Relief, Autism, and more.

JP-   City of Hope Leukemia Foundation.  My bff survived leukemia with a bone marrow transplant from her brother, at 26.  Miracle from prayer, no doubt in my mind.

KB- Family Matters and Harvest International. I love their message, their mission, and everything they represent.

If you were a song lyric, which song lyric would you be?

KJ- Don’t ask me questions like this…. I don’t know the words to any songs unless they are playing at the moment … or they are children’s songs, because right now I sing a lot of those.

JP-  (dude I made hard questions!)  “I go for mine, I got to shine, now throw your hands up in the sky”~ Kanye West

KB- twinkle twinkle little star. These ARE hard!

At the end of the day the most important thing in life is ___________.

KJ- My Family  – They are my all and all and the thing that keeps me going through the day.

JP-  Living a life you are happy in! And family 🙂

KB- family

Your favorite song in high school was…?

KJ- Anything Boys to Men. Yes, I would listen to it and think of the boy I currently liked. If we were dating and things were good it was good times, if not I would repeat the song over and over and cry.  I think this is way too much information.  Jenny what are you doing to us with these questions!!:)

JP-  My Way–Usher.  Still my favorite dance beat!

KB- I can’t think of a favorite song, but I had Spin Doctors, REM, Counting Crows, Steve Miller Band, and Erasure often playing. Don’t judge!
