MATT + MICHELLE | WEDDING AT THE ARIZONA SNOWBOWL (PART l)

When Matthew and Michelle asked me to photograph their wedding I jumped for joy! Who wouldn’t want to photograph a wedding in Flagstaff, Arizona at the Snowbowl during the fall? Can you say spectacular and gorgeous??

Michelle is a photographer in Flagstaff, so it was amazing to work with her, because she gave me SOOO much time for portraits and would do anything I asked, including hike around the forest in a wedding dress and sandals, while we were all wearing our winder coats and freezing! Truly an amazing trouper!

Matt and Michelle met not too long ago. They were neighbors and instantly hit it off, 3 months later they married at the Justice of the Peace. About a year  later they decided they wanted to really celebrate their wedding and have a real wedding in a church, with dancing and a party afterwards. Well, they pulled off one amazing wedding with a great group of vendors and a phenomenal band (one of our favorites), The Hamptons.

This is part 1 of our pictures because there were just too many amazing pictures to put them up in one post, so on Wednesday come back to see all the others.

Huge thank you to Allison and Elise for their help shooting this wedding with me. Images from all of us are mixed in below.

The day before the wedding we went scouting. I’m from Pinetop, AZ not Flagstaff, but they are both similar, so my family never really went to Flagstaff, which is sad because I was missing THIS all my life….. the snow bowl and it’s view. It’s phenomenal and I want to go back and shoot weddings here all the time as well as vacation. I was so blown away once we rounded the curve and saw this location. It took my breath away!

We started the day at a house that Michelle and Matt rented for their family and friends. It was HUGE, I think it had 4 floors. We had a great time finding lot’s of hidden places to take details and pictures of the family.

Michelle’s dress was a little form fitting and hard to put on, so she laid across the bed and the girls fought with the dress to get it on.  I love these shots!

I just LOVE first looks!

We then grabbed some portraits around the house.

This is one of my favorites!

We then headed to the gorgeous church to get ready for the ceremony.

Isn’t this church gorgeous?

I love this picture of Michelle’s Dad.

Next up is the portraits and Reception. Be sure to tune in on Wednesday!!
