Phoenix Wedding Photographer

PUG Meeting

I have an unbeliveable community of photographers who surround me in Arizona. Every month we all get together and socialize, learn, and eat!!! It has become something I look forward to every single month and I don’t know what I would do without these people in my life!

We are called a “PUG” Group, (Pictage user group), and it is made up of a ton of Arizona photographers, some who use pictage and some who don’t.

Lately we’ve been meeting at my studio and I love that I can open up my place. We are averaging about 20-25 people and it’s great.

Yesterday I got to do a studio spotlight and share about my studio and all the things that have happened over the last 5 years… it’s been a lot!

I also talked a little about blogging and how it is so important. I was asked how much I blog and I shamefully said that sometimes only once a week when I wish I could do it more often. But hey i’m trying:):)

I also said that in order to really do well blogging you have to give a little. I love it when people comment on my site, it gives me happy feelings inside:) But I know that in order to have people comment on my site I also need to comment on theirs. So, I am trying to give a little love and comment more.

The sad thing is that sometimes people leave comments but they don’t tell me who they are. I want to know!!! So, i’m asking all of you… if you comment and you have a blog or website feel free to leave it in the comment. That way I can see who you are and it will also help your web optimization:) If you don’t want to I guess that is ok, but know i’m thankful for your comments!!

Alright, I have TONS to do so I better start working on some amazing pictures! Thanks for reading.. and start leaving some comments! I will do the same!

*A big shout out to all of you from the pug who left a comment today:):) Jocelyn, thanks!! But I don’t know how to get ahold of you so I hope that you read this!

Jocelyn Sanders - Ooh, good point. I guess I did leave that comment a little more ominously than I intended. I usually do all of my blog-stalking while I’m at work. I know that sounds unprofessional, but there is honestly not much to do here (a law firm). I’m really trying to “break into” the business right now and would LOVE any help I can get. If you EVER know of anyone who needs ANY assistance with a shoot or wants to drag along a little wannabe I’d love to have the opportunity. And, of course I’d work for free. Also, I know you’re busy but do you have the name of the photographer who puts on the “one light” workshop (I think that’s what you called it). I’d love to pounce on any great workshop I could get into.
Thanks Kim!

Allison - I’ll admit that I never comment on your blog, but do read it when you post (thanks to google reader). You have some great and inspiring work and hopefully I’ll be able to attend a meeting someday!
