We’d love to share with everyone how you met, can you tell that story?
We met at work. We worked at different community centers, and James needed someone to cover a shift for him while he was out of town. I responded to his request for coverage and needed to get trained. I went to his work to get trained, saw this super cute guy, and the rest is history ☺
And of course we have to tell everyone how you got engaged… it’s our favorite part; please share!
I had just come home from work, James was making dinner, and then he got down on one knee and brought out a cupcake with the ring in the icing (my favorite Sprinkles red velvet, of course). It was so romantic, and so him to do something very low key.

Please tell us about your wedding? What were some of the details? Where was it? What were your favorite parts?
Our wedding was definitely a dream day. We looked at a lot of places to have the wedding, and when we went to visit Sassi in North Scottsdale, we were sold! My favorite color is pink, and I wasn’t sure if James would be OK with having a pink wedding. When I asked him about it, he said “Why wouldn’t we haven pink at our wedding?” The ceremony took place outside overlooking Pinnacle Peak and the Valley. The food was fabulous (we still get rave reviews about our food from our guests even to this day!). James’ favorite part was definitely the food. My favorite part was seeing our vision come together after a whole year of planning, right down to the very details.
What is the best memory you have from your wedding day?
The best memory I have from my wedding day is getting to share in our very special day with all of our closest friends and family.
Of course we have to hear about your pictures, since we were your photographers. What was it like having Kimberly photograph your wedding? What do you remember most about your photography? What is your favorite picture to this day?
We had one of Kimberly’s associates photograph our wedding, and we could not have been happier with them. They are absolutely stunning, and we have many large prints hanging in our home. The team worked so well together to capture so many special moments, even ones that I hadn’t noticed until looking at the pictures later! We did work with Kimberly to put together our photo book. This is a prized possession and we have it displayed in our home. We have so many favorite pictures (we can’t choose just one!).
Now that your wedding is over, what is the one thing you look back on and are so thankful that you did?
I am not just going to say this because this is for Kimberly, but we are so thankful that we chose such a great photography studio to work with. At the end of the day, all that is left is memories and photos, and we absolutely cherish our photos.
How has life changed since your wedding day, please fill us in on all the details (moves, kids, new houses, promotions, etc).
Since our wedding, we have bought our first house together. For the past 1½ years we have been working together to make it our own, and are having so much fun!

When you were newly weds did you picture this would be your life, this many years after your wedding?
I knew life would be great after our wedding, and it sure has been. We are very excited about what life has in store for us next!
If you were to go back in time and tell your newly engaged selves one thing, what would it be?
I would tell our newly engaged selves to enjoy the whole process, because planning the wedding was so much fun, and so totally worth all the long hours in the end.
Do you have any advice for new bride and grooms?
As far as advice for new brides and grooms, I would say to really enjoy your new life together. You won’t stay newlyweds for long! ☺
