Erica + Chad | Bella Giardino

Chad and Erica are an absolute adorable couple that display such a pure love. Their journey to this magical wedding day started many years ago when they attended middle school together. They took a long windy road to eventually get back to each other… but it was worth the wait (just ask them!). You could tell this was a day much anticipated & the joy and love overflowed through all of their friends & family (and there were a LOT…. 12 bridesmaids & 9 groomsmen + the 2 cardboard cut-out groomsmen to represent Chad’s friends that were serving overseas.) This crowd was ready for a celebration…and that is exactly what they got!

Their day was absolutely reflective of this couple, so many details that individualized their wedding – put together with the hard work of many family and friends. When we first arrived, I was surprised to see Erica’s mother, with her hair all done up at the ceremony/reception site before the wedding making sure all the details were just right! Birdcages and pinwheels… every detail handcrafted and personalized. The name cards were pinned to a handmade pouches with wildflower seeds. The tables were named after places the couple had visited, set amongst birdcages, lanterns and candles. A cupcake bar where you could choose your own frosting & each cupcake was in a monogrammed flower pot for the guest to take home! Such thought and detail was put into everything for this day!

These two planned a perfect day, full of love & pure joy…and this is exactly what they got! (and more!) Just seeing the two of them look at each other was enough to take your breath away. There were also a few unplanned surprises…immediately after the pastor announced them man and wife, a HUGE hot air balloon rose out of the sky! Looking around there were hot air balloons everywhere on the horizon. Some things that are truly magical…you just can’t plan! It was so amazing to be surrounded by this love all day & we felt blessed to be a part of their celebration! Congratulations Chad & Erica!!

It’s been a crazy spring so far. We have already completed 11 weddings and we have 11 more to go!!! We are staying on schedule, which is good, except for the blog. I’ve slacked a little on speediness to the blog, but we want to make sure our Bride and Grooms are getting their images before we focus too much on other things, so as soon as we can get weddings up we will!!!

This wedding was photographed by the wonderful and amazing team of KB and Tina Le Burnham (guest shooter). Thank you girls for doing amazing things!!! I always love seeing what my associate’s photograph… they get some amazing weddings and produce stunning images.

Jennifer and Lyle got married on March 6, 2011 at The Hotel Valley Ho. The wedding was beautiful!

Jennifer and Lyle both got ready in tower suites at the Hotel, which are amazing for pictures. Their family and friends were around and I love how the girls captured everything.

The ceremony was beautiful. Amazing colors and traditions. The Cocktail hour was on the top of the roof at The Hotel Valley Ho and was stunning.

Jennifer and Lyle, we are so happy for you!! Congratulations on everything, you looked beautiful!

When the studio received an email from Ashley and Lance about photographing their wedding, we were completely intrigued. So intrigued, that our very own Kimberly Jarman decided to jump on as the 2nd shooter, just to be a part of it. As we talked to Ashley a little more about her big day, we realized that the wedding was going to be based on the Tree of Souls from the movie “Avatar” and some of the film’s parables regarding life and love. Ashley and Lance have a very unique and wonderful story and our team absolutely loved being a part of their wedding day.
We usually include a list of vendors, but in this case, the entire wedding was a labor of love from all of Ashley and Lance’s family and friends. We tip our hats to the entire behind-the-scenes crew, who created and orchestrated every detail flawlessly.

Sally & Jeff are Stanford sweethearts who had been dating for over 8 years. Family and friends were exuberant to the point of giddiness that this special day had FINALLY arrived. And it’s no wonder – these two are a perfect match, both being sweet, intelligent, hilarious and absolutely all-the-way in love with each other.

Mary and I were in photography la-la land with all the amazing textures, artwork, and rustic elements surrounding the Cattle Track Arts Compound. The theme and ambiance was eclectic and understated with a little streak of party on the side. This wedding was everything we hoped it would be, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have been a part of it. S&J, thank you so much and CONGRATULATIONS!!

I’m always happy to shoot at Villa Sienna because of it’s lush vine walls, sunbursts of light spilling into the courtyards, and Tuscan style columns and draperies every which way you turn. I was even more excited to shoot there on Libby and Scott’s wedding day because they are genuinely the sweetest couple in the world. Congratulations and a thousand hugs, you two! I hope you’re having a cozy snuggly newlywed Christmas!

Hank and Nicole are the kind of people that everyone wants to be around. They both have that magnetic something about them, and together as husband and wife, they are outright enchanting. Friends and family emphatically cheered, toasted, sang, danced and showered them with love and congratulations throughout the day and night. Even the photographers were smitten and felt lucky to be there =). We started at the Royal Palms, where Nicole and her girls transformed from beautiful to drop dead gorgeous. Christa joined Hank at his home, where he spruced himself up for his bride, surrounded by his groomsmen, lounging doggies, and sticky notes to remember the rings. The ceremony was held at Brophy Chapel and the celebration continued at Phoenix Country Club. We were all over the place, and it couldn’t have been more calm and crazy and wonderful all at the same time.

A couple weekends ago we spent the most beautiful day hanging out with Sean, Jennifer, and their two daughters, Lizzie and Katie at Desert Highlands Golf Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was one of the first weddings of the season that had perfect weather… the kind that makes you want to kick off your shoes, let the grass tickle your feet, and twirl around with your eyes closed. That’s just what the girls did, well at least the kick off your shoes part… Jennifer and her girls walked the long “aisle” toward Sean, grass between their cute little toes, grinning from ear to ear, as he smiled and gushed right on back. This family of four made their official commitment to each other surrounded by their favorite people and loved ones on a lush green fairway in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. The ceremony couldn’t have been sweeter and our whole team wiped away tears as we watched Jennifer’s emotions trickle down her cheek. I think/hope these images reflect how soft and pretty the day felt… Thank you, S+J for picking us to be a part of it. And thank you Mary Jordan and Jen Jacobs for backing me up and capturing some of my very favorite images. As I looked through your galleries I was floored by your creativity and impeccable timing. Go team! =)…

Ancient tradition, family loyalty, and heart-felt faith are three things that come to mind when I think of Angela and Ted’s Greek Orthodox wedding. The ceremony was sung in a mix of deep baritone Greek and English and the reception involved non-stop activity, circle dancing, floor slapping, and periodic showers of money floating to the dance floor. These two are a powerful unity of strength and authenticity, and it was a wonderful honor to be there to capture it!

Chris and Cara exchanged vows this summer high above the valley at The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. Atop North Mountain, we had a sweeping view of Phoenix – a large spill of buildings and houses that looked like tiny toys in the distance and desert mountains sprinkled around like raised pinches of red and brown playdough. The sunset shimmered through a swaying bead backdrop while family and friends smiled through happy tears. Cara is an assistant coordinator for A Day to Cherish, so the day was beautifully designed and orchestrated down to the very last detail. Acoustic guitarist/singer, Sarah Vanell, added a sweet nostalgic aura to the ceremony and dinner, and the Big Bang dueling piano band had all of us clapping singing along during the reception. Thanks so much, C&C, for letting us be a part of your romantic beautiful day!

Courtney and Josh’s ceremony was perched on the edge of San Diego’s gorgeous Sunset Cliffs overlooking the open ocean and crashing waves below. The wedding party arrived in style in a bus-sized woody and made their way down the winding belt of sea sand and beach foliage to the cluster of white chairs and smiling faces of family and friends. The reception followed at The Dana at Mission Bay with teary-eyed toasts, crazy dancing ((craaazy!)), and even some accidental head banging. What a joyful, free-spirited, party of a wedding! We’re so lucky and grateful to have been a part of it…
