HAGERTY FAMILY | SAN DIEGO PORTRAITS

I get excited, and a little nervous, when a wonderful photographer asks me to take their pictures for them, but I am always very honored! The Hagerty’s are great photographers here in Arizona and found out that I was doing Beach sessions in California this year. They asked me to take pictures for their family because Sarah’s Happy place is the ocean and they really needed some updated pictures. California is such a dynamic state and has so many places to take pictures. One of my favorite is San Diego! Earlier that week I had done some “family” scouting, meaning we take a family outing and visit all the new places I might want to take pictures. We found a really amazing location near the cliffs that geared more for the surfers than children, but when I told Sarah about it she said she would LOVE to try it out. We hiked a bit and came up with some very unique locations! The kids were amazing and did such a great job!

Afterwards the Hagerty’s and Jarmans all went out to lunch at the most amazing Hamburgar joint in Ocean beach, called Hodad’s. If you’ve never been there you must… but beware there is always a line wrapped around the building to get in! Luckily we got in before the craze came, but man were those some good burgers and onion rings!!!
