MICHAEL + KATIE | WEDDING AT THE ARIZONA BILTMORE (Part 1)

Many times when I book a wedding, I book them anywhere from 6 months to 1 year out from the date, which gives me some time to get to know my couples. I love this because I feel that it’s so important to get to know a couple in order to really photograph their wedding story. That’s why I loved Katie & Michaels wedding. I did get a chance to know these two and felt a very special connection to them.

When we sat down to chat the first time I remember it well. Michael & Katie told me about how they met. How Michael noticed her first at Vet School and it took some before they really had their first conversation. When they finally did they realized they had a lot in common and started hanging out more. Michael also showed me his proposal video and truly I was very impressed. Michael also admitted that he was a blog stalker and the “Groomzilla”. When he started asking me about random things that I had posted before on my blog I realized it was true and cracked up. I guess people really do read these things… and it’s not just women!!! I love that Michael was SUPER excited about pictures and just wanted to make sure that he got killer guy pictures and that he looked like a model. Katie just smiled and nodded the entire time. She told me that it was true… while she wanted great pictures as well, it was all about Michael. I LOVED how they mixed so well with each other.

So, when the wedding day came my entire team was looking forward to it. It was a strange November day in Arizona, very chilly and with the possibility of rain, but Katie & Michael didn’t allow it to phase them at all. The wedding was held at the amazing Arizona Biltmore and was beautiful.
